Summer: Just Too Much Fun

August 5th, 2007

Posting has been very sketchy here because the summer has turned out to be busier (and more fun) than expected.  Teen Camp is coming up this week; it’s completely booked — probably should have scheduled two sessions, but the summer isn’t long enough (as I’m sure the kids will agree).  The teens are my favorite students and am hoping to post a lot of pictures of their creations.  Their last day is an “Iron Chef” challenge; can’t wait for that.  No, I won’t reveal the secret ingredient here!

There is one more Kid’s Camp coming up at the end of August.  The young-uns who already attended camp this year did an incredible job - they (and my intrepid assistant, Rachel), deserve all the credit.  Even the breadsticks were perfect, as you can see from the expert kneading going on here.  We even got some gnocchi made — the student’s got the hang of using the gnocchi boards very quickly.  Of course, the gnocchi disappeared even more quickly…
