Become a French pastry chef this summer! From pate a choux to pate brisee, students will learn the science and techniques behind a variety of French desserts. It’s exacting and demanding and a lot of fun.

Students will spend the first four days of camp learning the basic of breads, cakes, and pastries. Garnishing and presentation will be very important, too. Students learn some solid culinary skills, tap into their creativity, and work together in a fast-paced environment. On the last day of camp, our students invite family and friends to partake of our French pastry shop.

  • The camp is for students ages 10-15 years of age (no exceptions!)
  • CU will provide beverages and lunch for our students each day.
  • This series is 5 half-days, Monday-Friday, July 9-13, from 2:30 to 6:00 PM  each day.
  • Upon registration, you’ll receive an information packet with a form to complete and return to us.
CAMP CANCELLATION POLICY; Camp cancellations must be made at least two weeks prior to the first day of your child’s camp. There are no exceptions. No refunds, credits, or camp rescheduling will be provided for cancellations made after this time. Camp cancellations made at least two weeks prior to the start of camp will receive a full refund.

Kids Camp: International Food Truck (Morning)

Do we every get tired of food truck fare? No. No, we don’t. Our junior chefs will spend the week perfecting favorite international street food recipes and then open their “trucks” on the final day for family and friends to line up and sample their creations. Students learn some solid culinary skills, tap into their creativity, and work together in a fast-paced environment to bring you the best of this current culinary trend.

  • The camp is for students ages 10-15 years of age (no exceptions!)
  • CU will provide beverages and snacks for our students each day.
  • The series is 5 half-days, Monday-Friday, July 16-20 , from 9:30 AM to 1:00 PM each day.
  • Upon registration, you’ll receive a information packet with a form to complete and return to us.

There’s nothing like a cuppa and a scone! The goodies that come out of ovens all over the British Isles is pure heaven. Many of the breads and pastry we enjoy in America have their roots in England, Ireland, Wales, and Scotland and we’ll be preparing them for an elaborate tea party.

Spend some time in the kitchen together, learning some cake decorating skills – and then put them to use in our cupcake decorating event! We’ll provide the cupcakes, frosting, and decorations – students bring their vision and creativity! Our instructors will show you the ropes, reveal our theme for the day, and then set you loose. And to make things a little more interesting, our judges will pick a winning team.
