Private Hands-on Cooking Classes
Culinary Underground offers private cooking classes in our kitchens. Private classes are designed to suit your needs. Here’s how it works:
- Put together a group of students. We can handle up to 12 in our hands-on teaching kitchen.
- Work with us to pick a date and time for the class.
- Choose a menu or a culinary topic. We have menus to choose from, or we will work with you to design a menu that reflects your tastes.
- At the end, we sit down together to enjoy the meal. Expect to have plenty to eat with left-overs to take home.
- Hands-on classes typically run up to 3 hours.
- We charge a minimum of $400 for up to 4 adults, and $75 for each additional adult (up to 14 participants)

Private Demonstration Classes
We also offer private demonstration cooking classes in our demo kitchen.
- Get together a group (from 15-30 participants); choose an interesting topic or specialty.
- Work with us to pick a day and time.
- Sit back, chat, and enjoy a terrific culinary demonstration.
- Of course, expect a tasting as well.
- Our price is $500 for 14 adults, $30 for each additional adult (up to 35)
- We can also offer beer and wine for an additional charge.
Private demo classes are a great way to entertain a larger group. Have a great time, learn something new, enjoy friends and perhaps a glass of wine.
Kid’s Birthday Parties: Let Culinary Underground create a birthday party for you. We offer kids an unbeatable combination of food, fun, and learning, with no stress for parents. The way it works:
- Put together a group of kids ages 8-12.
- Choose one of the kid-approved menus we provide.
- Work with us to pick a weekend date and time for class.
- We provide the instruction and birthday cupcakes to decorate.
- Birthday parties typically run 2 hours, but feel free to stay and open presents, if you like!
- Our price is $350 for up to 8 kids, $25 for each additional child (up to 14 participants)
Kids/Teens Private Cooking Classes
Sometimes we receive requests for private cooking classes designed specifically for the kids or teens in your life. The way it works:
- Put together a group of kids or teens, ages 8-17. We can handle up to 14 in our hands-on teaching kitchen.
- Work with us to pick a date and time for the class.
- Choose a menu or a culinary topic. We have menus to choose from, or we will work with you to design a menu that reflects your tastes.
- At the end, we sit down together to enjoy the meal. Expect to have plenty to eat with left-overs to take home.
- Hands-on classes typically run 2-1/2 hours.
- We charge a minimum of $300 for up to 4 students and $45 for each additional child or teen (up to 14 participants)
Classes in Your Kitchen. Perhaps you’d like to have a cooking class in your own kitchen or in another venue. We have instructors here at Culinary Underground who love to “take it on the road”. They are terrific chefs and put on a great show. Just let us know what you’re planning and they will work with you to plan a fun event in your home. Please call us for details and pricing.
