This cooking club is for young adults, aged 12 to 15 years old. Our goals for this four session, series is to build your skills and confidence in the kitchen. At the completion of the series, you will be ready to put together simple meals for yourself and family.
Students will learn knife skills, soup composition, and vegetable preparations; how to cook eggs; and the methods for cooking familiar cuts of chicken and beef. OH, and how to make homemade pasta!
Week 1: Basic Knife Skills; Eggs and Veggies [October 22] Week 2: Soup [October 29] Week 3: Homemade Pasta and Sauces [November 5] Week 4: Roast, Sear, Stir-fry [November 12]
Classes are held on consecutive Thursdays from 3 to 5pm.
